Monthly Meetings

Please join us on November 13 for a presentation by “Lady Vanda,” Serena Roman. Her talk will focus on light requirements, growing media, watering, and other necessities for encouraging our vandas to thrive.

Serena started out as a hobbyist who wanted to share her successful techniques and help other find their green thumb. Through Lady Vanda Orchids her goal is to help everyone feel supported through their journey with orchid cultivation. Aside from education, Serena’s focus is to bring a wide variety of plants

to her customers. From common Vanda Hybrids to lesser known miniature species, all plants sold are blooming size; most have previously bloomed several times and are well established. Serena will bring plants to sell, so no member plant sales will be permitted.

Our Society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm. You are always welcome to attend a meeting, check out what's happening and meet our members.

At each meeting we have an interesting speaker, a raffle table, refreshments, a lending library for members, a ribbon-judged display table of members' plants, and a sales table where you can find fabulous bargains. The meetings are a great opportunity to see and learn of the wide variety of fabulous orchids that can be grown in South Florida.
