Program: Bulbophyllums and Intergenerics

C.R. Orchids is a small shadehouse nursery located in Loxahatchee Fl. They are fellow orchid addicts dedicated to feeding the addiction they know you have (you know it too.) Specializing in Cattleya Hybrids and Species but growers of many other genera like Dendrobium, Intergeneric Oncidiums, Paphs, Phrags, Bulbophyllum and Vanda among others.
They are committed to scouring the planet to bring you the most exciting new hybrids and most genetically advanced species from around the world.
C.R. Orchids is in the beginning stages of their own hybridizing program as well and are very excited about it.
Tonight she will speak about Bulbophyllums and Intergenerics. Bulbophyllums are the “weirdos” of the orchid world. Some of them possess foul odors, while others smell sweet. Their flowers have interesting shapes as well.
Candice is bringing plants for the Raffle and plants to sell. No member plant sales permitted at this meeting. Doors open at 6:30 PM for the Help Desk and at 6:45 PM for socializing and snacks.
Monthly Meetings
Our Society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm. You are always welcome to attend a meeting, check out what's happening and meet our members.
At each meeting we have an interesting speaker, a raffle table, refreshments, a lending library for members, a ribbon-judged display table of members' plants, and a sales table where you can find fabulous bargains. The meetings are a great opportunity to see and learn of the wide variety of fabulous orchids that can be grown in South Florida.
